My PhD
My PhD is officially entitled 'Graduate Entrepreneurial Learning'.
However I prefer to think of it a 'Great Expectations' reflecting the high hopes of creative graduates starting up in business.
It is a longitudinal study of the development of nascent graduate entrepreneurs (NAGRENTS) in the creative sector.
The aim of the research is to provide an insight into the ways that NAGRENTS develop. The research will investigate three threads which are proving to be strongly inter-related – the development of their business, their personal life, and their 'art'.
The research focuses on graduates from 'creative' degree subjects, starting a business in the the creative sector, and the practical aim is to be able to recommend ways that such graduates can be helped to achieve their entrepreneurial ambitions.
